The TPA Sports Foundation is committed to spreading the “Total Package” philosophy and creating an atmosphere where hard work is recognized and rewarded. All of the programs of the foundation provide an opportunity for greater exposure to the TPA philosophy, as well as support of its development.

Dance With Destiny
Dance With Destiny is a new program designed by TPA Sports Foundation to help youth improve their physical fitness, develop solid life-skills, build personal assets, and get involved in community service. The program is for inactive girls ages 13 – 16 years old. It addresses three

TPA Revolution                                             
The “TPA Revolution” is our marketing and promotional campaign geared towards creating awareness, interest and acceptance of the TPA Sports philosophy. We envision taking the campaign into schools, organizations, clubs, teams, parks and the like. We will communicate the six pillars of the Total Package Athlete, and encourage children, youth and adults to embrace it as their own. Our goal for this program is: To recruit 10,000 ambassadors throughout the United States who are committed to the TPA philosophy and are willing to share it with friends, family, teammates, classmates, and neighbors.

Bettye J. McClendon Basketball Classic
The BJM Basketball Classic is held during the Fall season in the month of November. It is hosted at a historically black college or university. Four schools from around the country are invited to participate. The activities for the weekend include workshops, clinics and of course two nights of highly competitive basketball games. The BJM Classic touches many cities along the southeastern portion of the United States and brings along the support of friends, family, alumni, students, and supporters from the participating schools. Our goal for this program is: To provide exposure and support of female athletes and coaches participating in collegiate programs at the Division II level.

Internship Program                                             
The Internship Program uses sports management, health & physical education and business students from surrounding colleges and universities as project managers for its programs. The Interns will be responsible for managing a team, financial resources, and project objectives. Our goal for this program is: To provide students the opportunity to get real-world experience planning, staging, and managing events. Our goal is to enhance the students’ career profile and make them more attractive to employers.

Basketball Summer Showcase
TPA Sports Foundation will host an annual Basketball tournament for AAU teams. The tournaments will be held during the summer, and will invite top girls and boys teams. These tournaments will allow high school players an opportunity to display their talents in front of college coaches, recruiters and the general public. Also, each tournament hosted provides an opportunity for the Foundation to intensely promote the TPA philosophy to the general public and specifically to the young athletes who participate. Our goal for this program is: To identify talented and promising young players that have a deep desire to pursue their chosen sport at a higher level. 

Rising Stars Tennis Classic
TPA Sports Foundation will host an annual tennis tournament for youth. The tournaments will be held during the spring or summer. The youth tournament will invite top girls and boys players from around the country to participate. This tournament will allow talented players an opportunity to display their skills in front of the general public. Also, each tournament hosted provides an opportunity for the Foundation to intensely promote the TPA philosophy to the general public and specifically to the young athletes who participate. Our goal for this program is: To identify talented and promising young players that have a deep desire to pursue their chosen sport at a higher level. 

Educational Sports Academy                          
The Foundation will broadcast educational workshops online as webinars. These will be 45 – 60 minute mini workshops for registered guest to view at their convenience. Some of the topics to be covered are: Courtesy & Proper Etiquette, Effective Communication, Infinite Possibilities thru Self Discovery, Managing Your Time, Managing Relationships, Managing Money, Visualization to Enhance Performance, and Selecting a College.  Our goal for this program is: To provide simple, convenient and entertaining ways to offer training and educational programs that support the well-rounded development of young athletes.  

Health, Wellness & Fitness Festival                             
The TPA Sports Foundation will host a Health, Wellness & Fitness Festival in different cities throughout the state of Georgia. The Festival will feature activities and classes for Kids, Teens, Adults and Senior citizens. On-Stage Demonstrations – Health Exhibits – Food Tasting – Sportswear: it will be a place where children, adults, and families can have fun and be active together, while learning about healthy, stress-free living. Our goal for this program is: To connect with 10 communities each year, encourage them to adopt healthy practices, and provide the information to help them make healthy choices. “Health & Fitness for All, Forever!”    

Partnering with Purpose
TPA Sports Foundation will partner with established organizations and community groups that are planning on hosting sporting events and competitions. We will sponsor activities and provide financial support where possible. An organization representing any sport is eligible, as well as competitions representing cheerleading, debate, spelling bees, public speaking, school bands, and choirs. Each event provides an opportunity for the Foundation to intensely promote the TPA philosophy to the general public and specifically to the participants. Our goal for this program is: To connect with 20 organizations to support the successful hosting of their event.
